'வேதம் என்பது என்ன? அதன் ரிஷிகள் என்பவர் யார்? எல்லாமே அர்த்தமில்லாத உபதேசங்கள்!' என்று அவர்கள் கூறியபோது, விவேகானந்தர் சிங்கம்போல கர்ஜித்தார். விவேகானந்தரைப் பற்றி ஆயிரம் நூல்கள் இருக்கலாம். இதுவோ, முற்றிலும் வித்தியாசமாக!

The light of Vivekananda spread to Chennai, after visting the cities of Tamil Nadu such as Kanyakumari, Madurai, Rameswaram and Pondicherry. Wherever he went, lovers thronged him. Myriads came to see him daily. He spoke with all kindly and soothingly. He explained the Hindu Religion from a different angle. Vedas and Vedanta danced in his tongue tip. In those days, many were lovers of Western culture and life. When they slighted the Vedas, Rishis and called them meaningless, Vivekananda roared like a lion.
